In this section, we summarise the business energy tariffs offered by Clear Business Energy.
Clear Business Energy offers fixed-rate electricity and gas tariffs for businesses that want cost certainty. The unit rate is agreed at the start of the contract and stays the same for the full term, protecting against market price changes.
Bills are based on actual usage, but the unit price remains fixed throughout the contract, making it easier for businesses to plan and forecast energy costs.
Clear Business Energy provides 100% renewable electricity tariffs backed by Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin. These certificates confirm that the electricity supplied is matched with renewable generation.
Green business energy tariffs are available on fixed-term contracts, allowing businesses to lock in prices while sourcing electricity from renewable sources.
Our business energy experts have reviewed the terms and conditions for Clear Business Energy to highlight the key contract features businesses should be aware of before signing up.
Clear Business Energy requires payment by Direct Debit unless otherwise agreed. Invoices are issued monthly and are typically due within seven days. If a Direct Debit fails or is cancelled, additional charges may apply. Clear Business Energy may request a security deposit or move the account to alternative payment terms until it is brought up to date.
Fixed-term contracts run for an agreed initial period. Clear Business Energy contacts customers around 60 days before the end of the fixed term to explain renewal options. If no action is taken, contracts usually roll onto out-of-contract rates, depending on account status and meter type.
Clear Business Energy reserves the right to carry out credit checks before and during the contract. If credit requirements are not met, the supplier may request a security deposit, change payment terms, increase charges, or move the account onto different pricing until payment risk is resolved.
Businesses can switch business energy supplier at the end of their fixed term or renewal period. Clear Business Energy may object to a switch if there is an outstanding balance or if the transfer would breach the contract. Deemed energy contract customers can switch at any time, provided all charges incurred are paid.
Customers must allow reasonable access to meters for readings, inspections and maintenance. Where meter readings are not available, Clear Business Energy may issue estimated bills until accurate readings are obtained. Smart meters and advanced meters may be installed unless the customer objects or already has compatible metering in place.
Clear Business Energy holds an excellent Trustpilot score of 4.3. This rating reflects feedback across all services the company provides, including energy, telecoms, water and other business services. The points below focus specifically on themes raised in energy-related reviews.
